Pretty baluster-shaped silver vase with a flared and hemmed neck. A finely chiseled snake is wrapped around the neck and an enameled chrysanthemum. The low body is enamelled in polychromy by partitions in silver wire. It rests on a round base with the signature in a golden cartridge of Mitsu Shige. Period: Meiji This type of object is very rare, in the arts of Japan, and relates more to jewelry.
