A Louis XVI small desk-game of boudoir with evolution 18th Century circa 1

Louis XVI period small evolution boudoir gaming desk in mahogany with sycamore and walnut veneer on oak and resin frames.
With its original layout, this piece of furniture opens with two lateral drawers positioned on either side of the seated person; these enclose a cavity housing; a mobile tric-trac and its chessboard on which slides, a checkerboard with an articulated mechanism of an adjustable vanity mirror.
The left side drawer is closed by a lid that hinges from the inside out; the right side drawer has a double bottom under which slides a small chétron concealed in the right-hand bottom.
The mobile tric-trac is inlaid with a chessboard hinged in two parts to reveal a backgammon set inlaid with natural and stained ivory.
The checkerboard inlaid lady's game is lined with a mercury courtly mirror, both articulated by a mobile valet serving as a frame for the checkerboard.
Quadrilateral and rectangular in shape, it is topped by a red padded morocco top, gilded with petit fer. The ensemble rests on a base with four tapered legs with deep curved fluting, strangled at the top and pinched at the base. Beautiful ornamentation such as lock escutcheons, key and gilded bronze and copper rolling shoes. A key locks both drawers.
Alas anonymous, the master cabinetmaker who designed this little masterpiece for his patron's boudoir was able to transform the traditional pedestal desk into a playful and harmonious piece of furniture that can be transformed and combined.
Dimensions: width 86.4cm - depth 54.2cm - height 73.7cm.
