Oval hinged box in bisauté rock crystal, edged on the lid with an enamelled gold setting of 2 friezes of fine stems unfurling in a spiral and bearing foliage alternating with enamelled pearls. Identical setting on the base.
Eye hallmark: discharge hallmark for small precious metal items under the general farmer Jean François Kalandrin (1789-1792)
