Oval-shaped table stamped Jean Pierre DUSSAUTOY (1719-1800) Paris

Oval-shaped transitional table in rosewood and precious wood veneer with "à la reine" marquetry decoration. It opens with a leather-trimmed front pull-out and a side drawer. The legs are flat-edged with fluted motifs and frame a kidney-shaped shelf with a medallion of leafy and flowery garlands surrounded by a cross and four-leaf marquetry. The base is tapered and simulated fluted. Sabots on casters. White marble top. Stamped by DUSSAUTOY. 17th c. (Pierre Kjellberg)
