Large Giltwood Frame pediment featuring a motif of Diana, 18th century

Large gilded wooden pediment mirror with an unusual decoration depicting Diana the Huntress beneath an ornate crown-shaped canopy, surrounded by three angel musicians in the upper section and two on the side panels.
Mascaron motifs adorn the corners and the lower band.
Rich decoration of foliage and volutes adorns the background of these decorative motifs.
Provence or Northern Italy, first half of the 18th century.
The trumpet of the angel on the right has been restored.
