Rhône Valley game console table in molded and carved walnut with clerestory. Its voluble belt is curved on three visible sides and scalloped on all sides. Each of the visible sides is carved and openworked with rocaille, flowers and branching foliage. The ensemble rests on a cambered base with four doe feet carved with shells and foliage au naturel, each resting on a deer hoof raised with acanthus leaves.
The whole is topped with a light-gray turquoise marble. Work from the Rhône Valley, Louis XV period, second half of the 18th century.
Marble dimensions: width 124cm, depth 56.7cm and height 85.8cm.
