Rectangular copper mirror with gilded brass elements, around 1900
Our mirror with gilded brass elements was made of copper and partially decorated with hammered decoration - a particularly elaborate technique that was often used in the period around 1900. The two intertwined ornaments on the sides are reminiscent of those we also know from contemporaries from that time, such as Koloman Moser or Josef Hoffmann. They give this timeless art object a wonderfully organic effect.
