Rectangular case in ebony, with a raised, stepped design, inlaid with tortoise-shell reserves underlined by ebony and ivory fillets. When open, it reveals a rosewood interior decorated with tortoiseshell, scrolls and exotic wood fillets, a small mirror and four compartments. The movable left-hand side panel reveals an external cover. The keyhole and carrying handles are in chased and gilded bronze.
Work in very good condition from the late 17th -early 18th century, probably Compagnie des Indes Hollandaises.
We will provide the purchaser of the box with the documents with its CITES passport number.
