Offered by La Crédence
Alabaster plate in high relief illustrating sainte Madeleine and saint Eloi.
The whole is gracious, accentuated by the inclination of the faces, and was undoubtedly polychromed (numerous traces).
The plate must have been broken in the middle, then stuck back together.
Catalonia, attributed to Bernat SAULET, 14th c., known for his great altarpiece of the monastery Sant Joan de les Abadesses (Episcopal museum of Vic)
