Buddha calls upon the goddess of the earth to bear witness that he has definitively overcome the fears and temptations sent by Mara, the demon of illusion, under the Bodhi tree.
Black lacquered wood, gold leaf (significant wear).
Very fine sculpture. A few mirrors are missing from the base, and the lacquer on the back is chipped.
