Christian Krass (1868-1957) - Art Deco desk and armchair

Magnificent set desk-chair in rosewood Ruhlmann style.
Half-circle top with curved interior and symmetrical veneer.
Boxes of four and five flat drawers on the front, rounded on the back.
Beautiful ornamentation of gilded bronzes:
- octagonal lock entries.
- piqueted footrest.
- Legs with curved lamellas.
The armchair upholstered with studded leather, front legs ringed with gilt bronze shoes, curved back legs.
The interiors of the bronzes numbered and signed K for Christian Krass.
Oak frame, varnished with buffer.
Furniture of high quality, to be compared with the productions of Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann (see photo).
