Giuseppe Pannini - Development plan of the Tiber river, 1772

Giuseppe Pannini (1720-1812) was an engineer, architect and archaeologist. For example, he completed the Trevi Fountain in Rome. He is the son of the great painter Giovanni Paolo Pannini.
Carried out in 1772 at the request of Monsignor Braschi, Treasurer General of the Vatican, future Pope Pius VI, the work carried out consists of making this part of the Tiber River, north of Rome, navigable.
