It has a raised lid with a doucine, topped by a movable handle, similar to the side handles, decorated in appliqué with cornucopia, garlands and flowers.
The inside of the lid is entirely polished and decorated with nets and flowery braids, bearing a mirror.
The box rests on four slightly flattened spheres.

NB: very good general condition, slight cracks from use

Reference: similar model kept in the Fabergé Museum in St Petersburg and in the collection of Charles André Colonna Walewski.
