Portrait of Louis XIV at the age of 4 years and 6 months , oil on canvas dimensions 57 cm x 45.5 cm , with its beautiful carved wooden frame , gilded , 83 cm x 64 cm , attributed to Beaubrun . Oval canvas annotated on the left "aged 4 years and 6 months / 1643".
Our painting, a rare document representing the king as a child, can be compared to the double portrait of Louis XIV and Philippe d'Orléans as children, kept in the collection of the Yannick and Ben Jacober foundation near Majorca.
