Man with a Woollen Hat (France, 16th)

Stained glass fragment of a medieval man in profile wearing a woollen hat
For once: not a Saint, not a martyr, not an Angel, not a biblical figure of importance … simply a man in the crowd with a woollen hat looking with big eyes and a smile at the world around him. He has been doing this for 500 years now. On the left: probably a fragment of a column/window? with drapery. France XVIth.
Grisaille, silver stain, pink sanguine pigment. Surrounding lead. No cracks.

Dimensions :
12.1 cms High (4.75 inches)
10.2 cms Wide (4 inches)
