A rectangular cut-crystal casket with a "bamboo" cut. The crystal is set in an ormolu mount with finely chased flower bands. The lock is decorated with a motif of cornucopia. This box by the fineness of the cut of the crystal and by the quality of the burnished bronze is representative of the utilitarian and decorative objects of the first Restauration and in particular of the production of Creusot.
Work of the first part of the 19th century. Some rare chips.
