Paul Bonifas (1893-1967) - Large Black Vase

Large "terre lustrée" vase by Paul Bonifas (1893-1967)
After he met Le Corbusier and Ozenfant in Paris after the war Bonifas apply the purist ideas of "L'Esprit Nouveau" in ceramic especially with black objects.
Born and raised in Switzerland Bonifas established his studio in Ferney Voltaire (France) in 1913, that's why he signed Bonifas France.
This piece was presented in "Paul Bonifas Céramiste du Purisme" exhibition of the Ariana Museum in Geneva in 1997.
