AN IMPRESSIVE LARGE GERMAN COFFER

Veneered with kingwood, decorated with gilt bronzes and enameled bronzes.
Interior lined with red silk and the original mercury mirror fixed with ripple mouldings.
This coffer can be compared to several coffers in the style of Wenzel Jamnitzer, most of them in the major Austrian and German Museums.
One lid and one drawer.
No marks found. Circle of Reinhold VASTERS (1827-1909).
