Large gold candy box 18th Century

Large and circular box featuring two shades of 14 carat gold. The removable lid is embellished with detailed, concentric lines and with a central medallion representing a dove flying over a flower basket and a quiver on amati gold background. The body of the box carries this same decoration. Intricate friezes of stylized foliage in colored gold on a matte background highlight the frame of the box. The interior of the box is entirely lined with tortoiseshell.
