A lovely Empire inkwell in mahogany, ebony and gilt bronze. Composed of 4 compartments and a small drawer, this beautiful object is decorated with puttis and mascaron in gilt bronze of very high quality.

We sold a similar inkwell in 2015, bearing a label of the famous "Le Petit Dunkerque" store, and have in store a similar inkwell bearing the label of Ravrio.
A similar inkwell is illustrated on page 54 of the book "Empire Furniture" by Chantal Bizot.

Condition Report: Restored in our workshop in February 2019. Complete with all its elements. Wear of use to the gilding.
