French Furniture and Art Pieces of the 18th century and Empire period
Silver ewer from the Directoire period. The ebony handle is supported by a finely chased ram’s head. The lid is decorated with a pomegranate.
Our ewer is a fine example of an object produced during the Directoire or the Consulate, while still being entirely in the Louis XVI style.
