A 17th century Nuremberg chest

Private Corsair safe made in Germany, in the Nuremberg region.

In wrought iron, it is polychrome in front, on the sides as well as on the opening plate.

It is about floral motifs, foliated scrolls and flowered own Dutch polychrome applied on these German chests.

The key opens an ingenious and robust 5-bolt mechanism. The latter is covered with its finely chiseled platinum with mandarin characters.

The trunk has extra security thanks to its bar blocking the opening and closing with a padlock (posterior).

It is based on a support.
