"Menuisier", Noël-Toussaint PORROT is received as a master in Paris in 1761.
His establishment was rue du Pont-aux-Choux, where he will exercise until the Revolution.

Noël-Toussaint Porrot will have a clear predilection for small Louis XV cabriolet armchairs, but will also produce Louis XVI chairs with various shapes, as well as sofas or day beds. His furniture is all neat, beautiful proportions, cleverly carved and very classic. Porrot will realize seats for the castle of Montgeoffroy.

Merchant, Porrot will also sell the works of several of his colleagues, will carve seats by Nicolas Delaporte, Marget dit Gillet or Lange de Chanvalon, and his stamp is even raised on some furniture cabinet. He will also collaborate with the gilding painter Desfontaines.
