18th C Cartel clock in Boulle marquetry of tortoise shell, brass and bronze. Enamel frame with Roman and Arabic numerals.
Figure of a woman holding a book "La vérité à elle seule suffit".
The wire suspension has been replaced and the clock is in perfect working condition.
Stamped "ANT FOVLLET"(Antoine Foullet, registered Master cabinet-maker in 1749) and with the JME jurande hallmark.
