Crafted in France during the 19th century, this guéridon is executed in the neoclassical style of the Empire and Restauration periods. Typologically, the object corresponds to a pedestal. The removable circular top consists of a polychrome breccia with ochre, brick-red, and cream-white inclusions. It rests on a waisted, turned baluster shaft made of a homogeneous rose-colored stone, which transitions into a round base. The lower section terminates in three fully sculpted stone lion paw feet, known as pieds en griffe. The mineral surfaces exhibit an age-related patina, while visible historical fillings and structural stabilizations are present at the shaft transition and on the paw feet.
