Eve with the Apple after Thorvaldsen, Bing & Grondhal Biscuit 1866

A graceful figurine created by the Danish manufacturer Bing & Grondhal in 1866,  based on H. G. Henriksen’s reduced-scale version of the original statue by B. Torvalden, sculpted in marble in Rome in 1813–1814 (H: 161 cm)
Very fine quality heavy bisque (1.8 kg) 
Minor restoration to the little finger.
