Leading antique and fine art gallery, specialises in the finest French clocks.
A striking pair of tapering square-section marble pedestals, of French origin, dating from circa 1860. Each is surmounted by a moulded, projecting cap of warm veined honey-toned marble above a shaft of rich dark red and black breccia marble, raised on a stepped socle with matching veined marble mouldings over a plinth of black veined marble.
The elegant tapering form and bold contrast of stones make these pedestals striking display supports for sculpture, busts, or decorative objects, suited to a classical or period interior.
