A large work table with a scagliola top, Rome or Naples, c. 1840. The base rests on paw-shaped legs with a central cartouche in the shape of a laurel wreath. The legs feature scrolls coiled in a shell-like pattern on both sides, with suggested masks on the sides. The top is made of polychrome scagliola depicting scenes from Greek mythology.
