Oval shaving dish made of faience from Les Islettes - Bois d'Epense, decorated with a low-fire scene depicting a shoemaker in his workshop in the center of a medallion, surrounded by a blue border; with a purple combed pattern around it. A festoon garland followed by a garland of flowers and leaves surrounds a central medallion bearing the letters “H MARTIN.” Purple fillet trim along the edge. Early 19th century. Width: 26.8 cm.
