A pair of small earthenware soup bowls from Les Islettes, made using the “petit feu” technique, with polychrome decoration featuring three medallions depicting the portraits of a man and a woman on one lid and a woman on the body of one bowl, three baskets of flowers, and the inscriptions “Marie Joséphine Henriette Trichet” and “Henry Athanase Trichet.”
Purple trim on the handles and rim. Spinning-top-shaped handle.
Dupré period, 19th century.
Diameters: 16.5 and 17.5 cm; Heights: 17.5 and 18 cm.
Slight enamel chips visible along the rim.
