Tétard - Large oval covered box in solid silver, modernist style, circa 193

An elegant oval covered box resting on a small oval foot. The body, with its clean lines, is flanked by two flat side handles and surmounted by a slightly domed lid, centered with a half-ring finial. The piece exemplifies the restrained and geometric vocabulary of late Art Deco, characterized by the purity of its forms and the absence of superfluous ornamentation. The low, elongated silhouette, combined with the high-quality mirror polish, gives this piece an architectural presence typical of Tétard's modernist creations.
