A large cylindrical gilded bronze lantern, composed of four pilasters set with four glass panes, resting on an openwork balustrade at the base, decorated with four pine-cone-shaped feet and a crenellated cornice at the top, adorned with four bronze plumes connected by four arches supporting a scalloped glass smoke vent. The four glass panes are decorated with a gilded bronze band. The lantern holds a small lamp providing the equivalent of four candles’ worth of light. (Electrified)
