Mars Vallett, pseudonym of François Marius Vallet, born November 5, 1869, in Chambéry, where he died on March 15, 1957, was a French caricaturist and sculptor.

The son of a marble worker from Chambéry, Mars Valett studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Working as a caricaturist during his youth, he contributed to numerous Parisian publications.
Mars Vallett received several awards at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.

During his time in Paris, he received visits in his studio from, among others, Auguste Rodin and Albert Bartholomé. He was very close to the painter François Cachoud and the sculptor Joseph Bernard (1866–1931).
