A beautiful three-part centerpiece.
Made of gilt bronze with a mirrored background, oblong in shape with rounded ends, it rests on small, finely chased, arched feet ending in balls.
It is framed by an openwork gallery composed of a regular frieze of balusters alternating with flat projections.
This decoration on the flat surface is distinguished by a stylized flower motif framed by two symmetrically arranged leaves on either side, an ornamental feature that sets this piece apart.
Intended to adorn the center of reception tables, this centerpiece likely held candelabra, porcelain, glassware, or floral arrangements, the mirrored background amplifying the play of candlelight. A Directoire period piece with beautiful chasing and original gilding.
