This is a three-tiered chest of drawers made of mottled mahogany, featuring two freestanding mahogany columns at the corners with gilded bronze capitals and abaci, supported by two wide spindle legs with bronze bands. Each drawer, as well as the sides, is trimmed with gilt bronze “rais de coeur” frames. The piece is topped with a slab of “Bleu Turquin” marble, bordered by a gilt bronze frieze.
