18-carat gold necklace watch with diamonds and enamel

A soap-dish pocket watch in gold, diamonds and enamel. Its white enamelled dial, signed ‘Retouret Genève’, features Roman numerals. Its chocolate- and black-coloured enamelled cover bears Arabic numerals within cartouches. The back of the case is set with crowned roses, including a larger one in the centre, forming a rosette. Mechanical movement. It is accompanied by a chatelaine adorned with an opening pendant consisting of a ball punctuated with crowned roses. Work from the second half of the 19th century. Switzerland.
