Set of two glazed tin wine coolers, Paris circa 1770

A rare set comprising two glass coolers with crenellated rims and two circular bottle coolers in glazed tin. The design features a chamomile white background decorated on both sides with medallions depicting birds and Chinese figures in traditional dress in lakeside landscapes.

Gilt handles, rims, and cartouche borders. Original removable zinc interiors.

Besides the rarity of the chamomile white background and the exquisite decoration imitating Chinese art, this set is distinguished by its greatest rarity: it has remained complete and undivided, allowing us to fully appreciate the refinement of tableware during the reign of Louis XV.

Excellent condition.

Varnished sheet metal factory "La Petite Pologne," Paris, Louis XV period, circa 1770.
