Important chest of drawers with a drop-down door and a raised shelf, veneered and trimmed in carob wood. The lower body, with a wavy front and concave sides that widen towards the back, features three large drawers and two lower ones under the drop-down door. The drop-down door reveals a particularly rich cabinet, composed of a shaped central door flanked by eight small drawers, pull-out compartments, and drawers. In the center, a sliding shelf conceals drawers and secret compartments. The upper body has two doors with shaped mirrors on the front and sides. Inside, the elaborate frame is made of solid wood and walnut burl; the tympanum is centered by an engraved mirror depicting a vase of flowers and crowned by a gilded wooden frieze; the handles are chiseled and gilded bronze; the onion-shaped feet are made of solid walnut with dotted reserves.

The sophisticated construction and refined materials make this piece one of the most elegant and sumptuous of its kind.
