Superb gourd-shaped vase in faïence fine decorated in petit feu, with an enameled and iridescent glaze showing metallic reflections, both matte and glossy, known as “peau de verre.” Signed KG Lunéville and Bussière.
The model takes its name from the pedicel of the flower that supports all the floral elements. It illustrates Bussière’s talent as a sculptor, who focused his work on vegetal structure, often retaining only a single aspect in order to create a realistic work with fluid and modern lines.
Period: 1900–1910
