Furniture, works of art and paintings
Veneered on all sides and decorated with cube marquetry without background in amaranth, rosewood, and sycamore. The table opens at the front with three drawers without a cross rail. The top drawer forms a writing desk, its hinged lid fitted with red Morocco leather and a silvered metal writing set comprising an inkwell, a pounce pot, and a sponge box.
It stands on four tapered square-section legs, decorated at the center with rosewood panels and adorned at the top with finely chased and gilt bronze laurel garlands. The legs terminate in plain sabots set on flattened balls, all in gilt bronze. The legs are joined by a stretcher shelf decorated with cube mosaic marquetry, framed by an amaranth band and a boxwood filet.
