Large pair of carved, gilt, and patinated wooden torchères (candle stands)

They depict Nubians wearing palm headdresses and drapery, each holding a candlestick in one hand. They rest on rocky bases, supported by square, flared, and molded pedestals, painted in imitation of green marble and adorned with Baroque motifs.
