A solid silver ewer, ovoid in shape, resting on three applied feet decorated with palm leaves and ending in lion's paws.
It is adorned with a frieze from which the spout extends, terminating in a horse's head.
The lid is finished with a pine cone finial, and the exotic wood handle is beautifully carved.
French work, hallmarked with the second rooster of Paris, 1st standard (1809-1819).
Silversmith: Sixte-Simon RION, registered on 20-10-1807 and cancelled on 20-04-1824.
Minor dents to the body.
