Set of 6 "sheaf-shaped" chairs, late 19th century

A set of six cream-lacquered beechwood chairs with gilt highlights, resting on two tapered, fluted, and reeded front legs and two saber-shaped rear legs.

The backrests feature a beautifully cut and energetically carved "sheaf" motif.

Very good overall condition, with some minor wear to the paint; the original upholstery is in good condition.

Late 19th century.
