Louis Majorelle – Art Nouveau Flat Desk “Aux Trèfles”

Superb flat desk in solid mahogany and courbaril veneer, molded and carved. It opens with a drawer fitted with a decorative front handle, and rests on curved legs clad with gilt bronze sabots. The apron is deeply shaped and bombé, highlighted by a wide molding that continues down to the base. The top is covered with its original leather decorated with floral border motifs.
