Magnificent pair of large terracotta jars painted in ramin green. Late 18th/early 19th century. Tuscany. The two jars are decorated on both sides with coats of Medici, fruit wreaths, and acanthus leaves. They rest on two painted and decorated bases. Very rare for their original polychrome.
Measurements: total height 128 cm, maximum width (at the handles) 74 cm.
The base alone is 40 cm high, diameter 44 cm.
The vase alone is 88 cm.
