Offered by Uwe Dobler Interiors
A two-part cabinet with impressive red lacquer painting and gilt decorations. The painting is in the Rengen style, featuring interlacing patterns and rocaille motifs. The doors have a central grid-like panel. The chest section rests on turned, round feet. The body segments are separated by carved and gilt moldings. The projecting cornice is also painted. The interior is lined with well-preserved marbled paper. Due to its age, the piece shows some retouching and repaired flaws, as well as minor wear and tear. Restoration of these areas can be arranged after consultation with a specialist. However, given the overall good condition of the lacquered surface, it should only be carried out as part of a careful plan by a qualified restorer. The piece originates from the Veneto region and was made around the mid-18th century.
