Exceptional large goblet on a wide foot, engraved with the Arms and the portrait of Charles of Bavaria, Elector of Bavaria in 1726 and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 1742 under the name Charles VII.
One side shows him in profile bust wearing a cuirass, with the inscription CAROLUS VII within a medallion framed by an ovolo border. The reverse bears the Arms of the House of Wittelsbach set against a double?headed eagle holding in its talons a sword and a sceptre, both surmounted by a royal crown.
The stem is entirely faceted.
