Oil on oval canvas, mounted on cardboard, depicting the Virgin Mary looking directly at the viewer, her right hand outstretched, the Infant Jesus on her shoulders holding a goldfinch. The scene is remarkably realistic, as if the Virgin, with her troubled expression, were trying to convey a message, in contrast to the jovial Child. Cleaning is recommended.
