Early, extremely rare craftsman's shield from an ornate metalworker's workshop
Height: 34 cm.
Width: 27 cm.
Probably France, 16th/17th century.
In the shape of a coat of arms, forged in iron, with a rim. Riveted to it are five examples of keys and two iron kettles with handles.
Holes at the corners and top center indicate the former attachment to the workshop door or house.
