Pair of Consulate period wing chairs

Pair of Consulate period armchairs (circa 1800), white and gold.

Straight backrest, Jacob front legs, Etruscan rear legs. Armrests without cuffs, resting on a column. Gold stars and acanthus leaves. Beautiful seat. Half-down cushion (feathers and down).

Upholstery redone by Maison Lachèze (formerly Maison Brazet) using exactly the same traditional techniques and materials as in the 18th century.

Cover in mauve “Venezia Cardinal” velvet from Rubelli with silk highlights. Empire-style crest finish and Burgundy cable finish.
